Gary is outstanding! He takes the time to find the underlying cause of a problem and corrects it rather than just popping on an expensive and unnecessary new part. For me, the end results are trust, integrity and reasonable cost.

Gary is a rarity in this day and age -- a highly competent, honest mechanic. He is a very skilled diagnostician, who always gets the job done right the first time. I tell my friends he is the "Honda Whisperer." Thanks to Gary, my 1996 Accord (with 108,000 miles) stills runs like new. He has fixed a broken wheel bearing, replaced the timing belt and water pump, adjusted the valves, replaced the clutch, brakes and exhaust and put four new tires on. And the work is always done at a fair price. One time when I brought the car in and asked him to put new brakes on, he called me at home and said that the brakes had at least another 10,000 miles on them. "I just thought I'd save you some money," he said. Imagine that! He is the ONLY mechanic I will allow to touch my car!

Gary and his crew are fantastic!! They treated me with respect and charged me allot less than the dealership, with Genuine Honda parts! Our local Honda dealer in Saratoga are bunch of arrogant S.O.B.'s and now that I've found Gary Childs, I will never have to go back. If you live in the Saratoga area, you have to give Childs Auto a try! One Satisfied Customer

We have been fortunate in taking our cars (over the years: Honda, Miata, Saab and Volvo) to Gary Childs for service. We have NEVER had a problem with his work. Child's Automotive does it right on the first visit. Gary's an extremely qualified articulate professional with a good staff. It's a great place--honest, friendly and reliable. My husband and I unhesitatingly recommend Child's Automotive!

Gary Childs is the King of all Cars!!! We have been going to him for three years, sometimes monthly for my husbands mistreated Blazer, and he is superb. Plus, if he can't or doesn't fix it he will recommend a neighboring shop to take it to.

Gary runs his shop with the utmost professionalism. I have been going to him for years and can honestly say that Gary is the most honest mechanic I've ever been to. All his work is done on time, accurately, and done right every time. Although I only have American made cars serviced by Childs Automotive, they have a reputation as the best foreign car repair shop around. Kudos GARY!

Gary was recommended to us by a friend and we have never had anyone else service our Honda Accord Wagon. His work is TOP notch. He is honest about what can be put off a little longer and what needs vital attention. The bill/work order is always a computer printout with a detailed explanation of each item addressed with costs broken down. Good pricing. Always willing to take the time to explain what he needs to do beforehand as well as after the job is done, Gary knows your vehicle is vital to maneuvering through life. We have also enjoyed talking with him about other non-car stuff. A business owner/mechanic does not come more honest and friendly as he does. After we moved out of town, my wife and I drove well over hundred miles east in order for him service the car before our trip out West. If you own a Honda, you need not look any further. If you need a Honda or Toyota serviced, bring it to Gary. I have only brought my cars to him, and he is ALWAYS honest, fair, and straightforward. His prices were hundreds less than the Saratoga Honda, and you don't get anything you don't need. Recently, I moved out of town to CT, yet still drive my toyota back to Child's because you just can't find such a trustworthy and knowledgeable mechanic as these guys. Every one of them have been great and their work is TOP NOTCH. When anyone I know is getting work done, I always insist on Child's... and they now don't go anywhere else. There is a reason why so many customers take the extra time to write positive reviews.
